To be considered for US Lacrosse Boys Level 1 Officials training for the 2021 season you must meet the following criteria:

1. You must 18 years of age and a high school graduate.
2. You must have either prior experience as a high school official OR have considerable past coaching or playing experience.
3. Be available on most Saturdays from late March through June 30th. Games can be any day of the week but availability on Saturdays is very important.
4. Applicant cannot currently be an official or coach for any other spring sport or league.
   
   

PLEASE NOTE, CLASS SIZE WILL BE EXTEREMLY LIMTED AND NOT ALL APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED

The requirements that must be completed to become a US Lacrosse Level 1 Official for the GSLOA are listed below:

1. Become a current member of the GSLOA (Invoice will be sent via email from PayPal)
2. Active US Lacrosse Membership registered as an "Official" under the GSLOA
3. Complete US Lacrosse "Boy's Official Annual Learning Course. (Approx. 8 hours) completed by 3/15/21
4. Complete both the current years NFHS Rules Interpretation Session & the current years US Lacrosse Youth Boys' Rules Interpretation Session.
5. Pass the US Lacrosse current year's Boys Youth & High School Rules Exam
6. Pass a background check as per US Lacrosse guidelines
7. Annual Classroom Learning provided by a US Lacrosse Certified Trainer through the GSLOA.
   (Meetings to be held online Tue 3/16, Mon 3/22 & Wed 3/24 at 7pm.)
8. Be evaluated "on field" by a US Lacrosse Certified Observer provided by the GSLOA

NOTE: You will not be able to access the course materials or tests until you are a US Lacrosse member

Fee estimates are:
US Lacrosse annual membership: $55 (includes insurance)

GSLOA First Year Official Fee: $35 ($25 after year one)
GSLOA New official training fee: $50
US Lacrosse Background Check fee: Included in US Lacrosse membership fee

To be eligible for this class you will need to complete about 8 hours of online classes which you can do at your convenience but it must be completed between 3/1/21 & 3/15/21. You then must be available for the following video classroom sessions: Tue 3/16, Mon 3/22 & Wed 3/24 at 7pm.
